Acurus has introduced its M8X (8‑channel) and M4X (4‑channel) 2RU power amplifiers, designed for in‑home cinemas and media rooms.

The company emphasizes that both models deliver 200 watts per channel, conservatively rated as minimum output with all channels driven. The M8X and M4X amplifiers feature the company’s proprietary Acurus precision-balanced input gain stages, which Indy Audio Labs boasts helps to ensure detailed audio reproduction with ultra-low noise and distortion.

Utilizing Class D amplification, the M8X and M4X are designed to be power-efficient. To support modern home-theater applications, they offer flexible control via input trigger, RS‑232 and Ethernet—plus built-in web control for easy configuration and remote diagnostics. Built-in web control makes configuration and remote diagnostics easy for integrators in the field.

“The M8X and M4X reflect our dedication to marrying perfect sound reproduction with modern smart-home control. These amplifiers bring music and cinematic experiences to life, offering incredible channel count flexibility along with time-tested Acurus reliability,” comments Ted Moore, co-founder and CTO, Indy Audio Labs.

Indy Audio Labs adds the M8X and M4X pair with both the Acurus MUSE 16-channel and ACT 4 20-channel preamp-processors, to help integrators create high performance surround sound and immersive audio systems.

Indy Audio Labs points out the amplifiers are designed and built in the U.S., and backed by five-year warranties.
