Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. has introduced a new Shade Visualizer feature within its Luxury Experience App, designed to give integrators, designers, and homeowners an interactive way to evaluate shading options.
Located in the app’s Shade Design Tools section, the Shade Visualizer allows users to view a range of Lutron shade styles, including exposed, metal- and fabric-wrapped fascia, and recessed models. The tool demonstrates how light changes in a space under different conditions. Users can shift between day and night settings, adjust shade positions at five points along the window, toggle fabric options between light and dark, and compare levels of privacy using an outside-in view.
The app also supports collaboration by enabling users to save and share their selections with project teams. According to Lutron, the feature was created in response to feedback from both integrators and designers seeking a more visual and streamlined way to present shading options to clients.
“The Shade Visualizer was developed directly in response to feedback from integrators and designers,” said Ben Bard, Vice President at Lutron. “This powerful new feature not only highlights the transformative effect shades can have in a space, but also simplifies the selection process for designers, integrators, and homeowners alike.”
By incorporating the Shade Visualizer into its existing platform, Lutron is expanding the app’s functionality beyond lighting and controls, giving professionals in the field an additional tool for guiding homeowners through the design process.
The Luxury Experience App, already used by integrators to demonstrate Lutron’s lighting and shading products, now offers a more complete virtual environment that illustrates how light and materials interact within a room.
