Building on the successful Premium HDMI Cable Certification Program with HDMI LA, Authentic Vision has announced that it has extended its partnership to HDMI LA’s new cable certification program covering the new Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables.
The new HDMI LA certification program utilizes Authentic Vision’s holographic fingerprint-based technology and real-time verification platform to assure consumers that they are purchasing authentic, certified HDMI cables. Manufacturers are required to include the mandatory certification label on packaging to help ensure product authentication and verification by the reseller and consumer using the HDMI LA authentication smartphone app.
“Our patented holographic fingerprint-based tags can only be produced once and are therefore unique to each cable product, assuring consumers of product authenticity with a simple scan using any smartphone. The HDMI LA authentication app uses Authentic Vision’s authentication technology and assures resellers and consumers that their cable has been verified by HDMI LA as a certified cable,” says Andreas Spechtler, executive chairman, Authentic Vision.
With more than eight billion HDMI enabled devices shipped since the first HDMI specification in 2002 and the continued development to the current specification version, HDMI cables are the most commonly and frequently purchased multimedia cable by consumers and commercial installers.
