Airzone has announced its new Aidoo Z-Wave solution is now fully integrated with Alarm.com. Additionally, the Aidoo Z-Wave solution is now also available to the Building36 network of professional HVAC installers thanks to the new integration.
Building36 is Alarm.com’s own smart services company targeting mainly building systems through smart HVAC, electrical and plumbing solutions. These solutions are a combination of devices and software that come together to create a complete product suite for home maintenance systems.
By making it easier for Alarm.com devices to communicate with inverter HVAC systems, the new integration aims to provide an immediate improvement to energy efficiency on systems connected to the Alarm.com platform.
For those unaware, compared to single-speed HVAC systems, Inverter AHUs are more energy efficient, more compact, and provide superior comfort via more precise temperature control. The downside is that connecting these solutions to third-party home automation and security systems has been a challenge and has historically led to compromises that lessens many of the benefits in the first place.
Airzone’s Aidoo solution fixes this by sitting between the Inverter unit and, in this case, any Z-Wave-enabled platform—i.e. Alarm.com. In addition, Aidoo Z-Wave acts as a network repeater, strengthening network reliability for the entire smart home network.
Alarm.com platform users can also leverage Aidoo Z-Wave to integrate and control Inverter HVAC systems into their home security and automation system.
The Airzone Aidoo Z-Wave solution is available in North America, Europe and APAC.
