At the CES 2024 show in Las Vegas, the home audio brand Victrola added to its selection of turntables with the introduction of its Stream Sapphire turntable.
The brand, which has been around for well over 100 years states the announcement of the new turntable extends its product line of streaming turntable solutions. According to the company, the Stream Sapphire builds upon the DNA of Victrola’s flagship Stream Carbon and also expands on the connectivity of the Stream Carbon with the ability to stream vinyl to Sonos, UPnP, and Roon integrated systems.
Victrola points out the turntable supports up to 24-bit/48kHz lossless FLAC audio, and aesthetically, the turntable features a walnut veneer on the MDF plinth, along with an upgraded brushless motor for quiet and accurate sound, and an audiophile-grade Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge.
“The Victrola Stream turntable line was created out of a need to provide a seamless, integrated wireless solution to enjoy vinyl no matter where the listener is in their home. After hearing from both consumers and the integrator community, we recognized an opportunity to build on that promise by opening our ecosystem to include other popular streaming options while also elevating the turntable itself to a level we’ve never introduced in the market before,” says Scott Hagen, CEO of Victrola.
“Victrola Stream Sapphire is a perfectly crafted audiophile-level wireless vinyl solution that meets vinyl purists’ standards while giving integrators the most versatile turntable for any project.”

Through the turntable’s multiple streaming options, the company notes the Stream Sapphire makes it easy for users to wirelessly stream to their preferred speaker setup using the Victrola Stream app.
The company also notes that in a few easy steps, subscribers of the music management and listening Roon platform can utilize Apple Airplay, Google Chromecast, and high-performance Roon Ready connectivity. Moreover, owners of UPnP network-enabled streaming devices such as home theater A/V receivers, UPnP speakers, and smart TVs will also be able to utilize the turntable’s wireless audio capabilities with no additional equipment.
Getting back to the construction of the Stream Sapphire, Victrola stresses that structurally, the turntable is built to produce the clearest audio possible, starting with a low-resonance MDF plinth that includes adjustable-height aluminum feet with sound dampening base for easy self-leveling and vibration isolation.
Among the turntable’s other features are a two-speed brushless motor that is said to provide quiet and consistent speed control, as well as the Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge attached to a removable headshell and carbon-fiber tonearm are designed to produce improved frequency, range and tracking. Like the other products in the Stream turntable line, the Stream Sapphire employs an illuminated control knob that provides an easy-to-use, tactile control for volume and playback directly from the turntable, and gold-plated RCA outputs to support integrators’ ability to connect the turntable to preamplifiers, AV receivers or powered speakers.
Victrola adds the Stream Sapphire turntable will be available in the spring of 2024 for a retail price of $1,499.
