The new Somfy Clever DIY Tilt Blind Motorization Kit offers dealers and technically inclined homeowners the ability to motorize a home’s existing horizontal blinds.
Somfy, a manufacturer of motors for interior window coverings and exterior solar protection products, states that its latest product provides homeowners with an affordable way to automate their shades for control over indoor light, glare, heat and privacy through a simple shade upgrade.
According to the N.J.-based manufacturer, the Somfy Clever DIY Tilt Blind Motorization Kit installs in a three-step process, and the product is compatible with the company’s Somfy myLink interface, as well as the TaHoma gateway. Somfy explain these solutions are user-friendly devices that include companion free apps that provide automated control over existing blinds using smart devices or voice control technologies that include Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
The company also points out that its Somfy Clever DIY Tilt Blind Motorization Kit also offers homeowners wire-free power, recharging options, and control capabilities to enable them to tilt their blind slats based on their specific preferences.
Additionally, Somfy adds the kit comes with everything necessary to automate existing shades, and it backs the new kit with a five-year warranty.
