Throughout its nearly 50 years of existence, the British audio company Naim Audio has never offered a turntable until now. Recently, Naim Audio announced its Solstice Special Edition Turntable Package.
Naim Audio explains that its first turntable incorporates an updated version of its Naim Aro tonearm, as well as its Equinox MC cartridge, along with a Solstice Series Phono Stage; a Solstice Series Power Supply and various accessories.
Limited to 500 units, the Solstice Special Edition Turntable Package incorporates the company’s industrial design elements to help it blend into a complete Naim Audio system.
Some of the design touches built into the turntable include a plinth made with 47 separate layers of wood, and it built the Solstice’s cartridge into a solid aluminum housing that’s machined from a single billet.
According to the company, the NVC TT phono stage and NPX TT power supply are “hand-crafted” in Salisbury, while the NVS TT turntable, Pro arm and Equinox cartridge are made to Naim’s specifications by Clearaudio.
Naim Audio adds the companion accessories include a digital stylus gauge, a bubble level, three hex drivers, a vinyl adjustment tools, a dust protector and cleaning cloth.
