Snap One has added more outdoor audio options to its Episode brand of loudspeakers through the announcement of its new Terrain Hardscape Subwoofer.
The popular custom electronics company says the new outdoor subwoofer provides integrators with more product choices to deliver low frequencies to outdoor AV systems where direct burial subwoofers are not an option. Snap One states that integrators can use the new Terrain Hardscape Subwoofer in locations that include patios and decks and the use of the subwoofers can add value to existing and newly installed systems.
According to the company, the Terrain Hardscape Subwoofer is an 8-inch floorstanding subwoofer that incorporates a 1.5-inch dual voice coil equipped driver array, and it also features a three-foot tail for safe and secure weatherproof connections.
Externally, the subwoofer utilizes a rotomolded cabinet test to IPx5 weather standards to enable it to survive elements such as rain, snow and lawn sprinklers for years of reliable usage, and it includes mounting holes to facilitate its placement in a variety of locations.
Snap One adds the Terrain Hardscape Subwoofer can be powered by a multichannel or standard two-channel amplifier, and the subwoofer is compatible with third-party amplifiers and third-party satellite speakers.
