Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt

At the annual CES show the Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt was announced to support today’s smart home security needs.

Schlage says that its latest smart home product is one of the first locks to incorporate Apple’s HomeKit technologies to offer homeowners the ability to use Apple’s home key for Apple Wallet when they use their iPhone or Apple Watch.

The lock company says that through Apple’s HomeKit technologies, homeowners won’t have to unlock their iPhone or Apple Watches, and the Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt’s power reserve enables users to unlock their locks in the event their Apple device’s battery goes dead. Power Reserve provides up to five hours of reserve power, and homeowners can also create and manage up to 100 access codes.

Schlage also points out the lock is capable of producing real-time activity logs to allow homeowners to know who is using what codes and when they used the access codes.

The Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt is also compatible with Apple iOS and Android devices, and when paired with the Schlage Home App, homeowners can use Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice control technologies to securely lock their doors with voice commands.
