Playback Distribution has been appointed the exclusive U.S. and Canadian distributor for Vicoustic, expanding Vicoustic’s North American reach across the hi-fi, residential custom integration, and professional audio markets.
Under the new agreement, Playback Distribution will manage sales, logistics, and market development for Vicoustic’s portfolio of acoustic treatment and sound insulation products, including panels, diffusers, bass traps, and complete room kits. The partnership is designed to streamline access to Vicoustic solutions for integrators, dealers, and professional users while addressing common challenges related to availability and project lead times.
Playback will formally introduce the Vicoustic line at NAMM Show 2026, where the company plans to showcase the products to dealers and integrators serving residential and professional audio applications.
Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Portugal, Vicoustic designs and manufactures all of its products in-house and is known for combining acoustic performance with design-focused aesthetics and sustainability. The company utilizes recycled materials and eco-conscious manufacturing processes and maintains an internal acoustic laboratory to support research, testing, and product development.
According to Playback Distribution President Rob Standley, Vicoustic complements the company’s existing portfolio by addressing room acoustics as a core component of system performance, particularly in hi-fi listening rooms, home theaters, and professional environments. Vicoustic CEO Cesar Carapinha noted that North America represents a growing market for the brand and said the partnership with Playback supports its long-term expansion strategy in the region.
As part of the rollout, Vicoustic products will be available through Playback’s North American websites, with offerings that include quick-ship models with real-time inventory visibility, project-oriented product kits, and expanded product documentation to support system design and specification. Playback’s initial Vicoustic inventory is expected to arrive in late January 2026.
The distribution agreement covers the U.S. and Canada and coincides with NAMM 2026. Vicoustic products will be available through professional integrators as well as authorized dealers serving DIY and specialty retail customers.
