NBA
After shutting down in mid-March with the rest of the sporting world due to the coronavirus pandemic, the leagueโs owners and players association approved a plan that will see 22 of 30 teams. The 16 current playoff teams and the six teams within six games of their conferenceโs No. 8 seedโreturn to action for a brief, eight-game finish to the regular season, plus a potential play-in tournament to determine the last seed in each conference. This is all scheduled to take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, located within Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The regular season begins on July 30 when the Utah Jazz take on the New Orleans Pelicans. DISH Subscribers can catch all the action on TNT, channel 138, at 6:30 p.m. ET. MLB
After the coronavirus pandemic postponed the start of the baseball season and shut down nearly everything else, the sport is set to return with a 60-game season mandated by Commissioner Rob Manfred. The regular season will begin Thursday, July 23 with a prime time doubleheader. In the first game the New York Yankees visit the defending champion Nationals at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. The second game pits the San Francisco Giants against the Los Angeles Dodgers at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN. Check out the full MLB schedule here.
