Premier Mounts Acquired by Mobility Application Mounting Specialist Gamber-Johnson

Published: February 16, 2021

Gamber-Johnson, a leading supplier of rugged mounting systems for fleet vehicles, public safety vehicles, forklifts, semi-trucks and other mobility applications, announced that it has finalized an agreement to acquire Premier Mounts, a specialist in AV mounting solutions.

โ€œGamber is a market leader in mounting technology in mobile environments where Premier is a leader in mounting displays in static environments,โ€ states Brian Wagner, president and CEO of Gamber-Johnson.

โ€œThe combination of these two market leaders will genuinely create results greater than the sum of its parts. Gamberโ€™s resources and commitment to โ€˜Ruggedness, Reliability and Responsivenessโ€™ will highly complement Premierโ€™s years of experience and innovation.โ€

With 45 years in the AV industry, Premier Mounts founder and CEO Len Dozier built the company into a leading supplier with a catalog of more than 1,000 products that are sold through 2,000 resellers worldwide and online.ย Dozier is retiring and Wagner will take the helm as CEO following the acquisition, according to the company.

Premier Mounts will become a Gamber-Johnson brand with its main office functions remaining in Southern California.

Last April, Premier Mounts announced the expansion of its West Coast warehouse and operations in Corona, Calif. The company explained that its then 50,000-square-foot facility, which was designed with future expansion in mind, would see increased growth within the Logistics and Fabrications teams.

โ€œItโ€™s been a challenging year in the audiovisual industry on many levels and we are ready to jump into new opportunities with Gamber-Johnsonโ€™s ownership by strengthening and expanding our presence,โ€ states Brent Henderson, Premier Mountsโ€™ general manager. โ€œThe Southern California office will operate as one of Gamber-Johnsonโ€™s Quick Response Office Cells, which is part of Gamber-Johnsonโ€™s responsive organizational structure promoting quick decision making and responsive customer service.โ€

Manufacturing, warehousing and corporate oversight will occur at Gamber-Johnsonโ€™s newly renovated manufacturing space in Central Wisconsin.
