Origin Acoustics announced earlier this month that it would distribute iRoom iPad docks and mounts through the Origin e-commerce portal. Now Origin is adding AudioControl amplifiers to the portal in the company’s effort to create a portfolio of luxury brands.
Audio Control announced yesterday that it was teaming with Origin, Triad, James and Stealth Speakers to create sound profiles specific to their respective loudspeakers. The profiles are stored in the DSP onboard AudioControl’s Director brand of networked multichannel amplifiers.
Not only is Origin profiled in the DSPs, the speaker manufacturer is going the extra mile by selling the Director D-Series amps through its own online portal.
“Our industry is seeing cheap DSP amps pop up in many places,” says Origin founder and CEO Jeremy Burkhardt. “We are invested in high-end sound quality and AudioControl fits well with our long-term strategy of providing the best components available when designing a whole house music system.”
As with iRoom, the AudioControl products will be part of Origin’s authorized dealer program, allowing partners to enjoy free shipping, automatic upgrades and greater rebates.
“No other company in the industry can provide as much profit with a combination of architectural speakers and DSP amplifiers,” says Origin founder and CEO Jeremy Burkhardt.
In addition to selling the D-Series amps loaded with Origin speaker presets, Origin will also sell AudioControl’s popular Bijou and Rialto amplifiers through its dealer portal.
The AudioControl products will become available through Origin on Sept. 1 for all authorized Origin dealers.
