The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), owners of the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS), and Renovation Angel, recyclers of luxury home furnishings, have announced the 2022 NKBA Renovation Angel Luxury Recycled Kitchen Awards.

Conceived in 2018 to applaud kitchen and bath industry professionals for their commitment to keeping construction materials out of landfills, the NKBA and Renovation Angel partnered to encourage all kitchen and bath manufacturers, designers and showrooms to support the concept of recycling and upcycling wherever possible.

โ€œWorking with Renovation Angel the NKBA is pleased to support Steveโ€™s efforts to keep 50 million pounds out of landfills,โ€ says Suzie Williford, EVP, and Chief Strategy Officer of the NKBA.

โ€œAn average kitchen represents 7,000 pounds, including cabinetry, countertops, sinks, appliances and other finishing materials.  If our combined efforts can continue to drive awareness of this opportunity and encourage everyone to consider alternative uses for old kitchens, we will help to drive the circular economy. Iโ€™m so pleased our Association is a part of this important work.โ€
