Meze Audio has announced the upcoming release of the STRADA, a closed-back dynamic headphone designed to provide a blend of immersive musical intimacy and refined craftsmanship. According to Meze, STRADA targets listeners who crave both isolation and a natural soundstage, drawing inspiration from Meze’s acclaimed 109 PRO and LIRIC models.
At the heart of STRADA is a newly tuned 50 mm dynamic driver, first seen in the 109 PRO but now optimized for closed-back performance. This dual-composite diaphragm blends carbon fiber-reinforced cellulose and a beryllium-coated polymer for clarity and detail, while a copper-zinc alloy stabilizer helps maintain control and reduce distortion.
Aesthetically, STRADA stands out with hand-assembled Macassar ebony ear cups, each pair unique in grain and color, paired with a lightweight magnesium frame finished in deep green. Comfort is engineered through a thoughtfully padded headband and a chassis designed to reduce fatigue during long listening sessions.
Soundwise, the STRADA offers a nuanced presentation with punchy bass, neutral mids, and smooth extended highs, creating an articulate and emotionally engaging experience. Its closed-back design ensures excellent noise isolation, making it versatile for both home and travel use.
