Lutron’s ISE 2026 Announcement Shows How Big Intelligent Lighting Has Become

Expanding across the EMEA, the growth seen by Lutron and other intelligent lighting-focused properties highlights the global recognition of a once niche product.
Published: February 3, 2026

Lutron is expanding its Intelligent Lighting portfolio into EMEA markets less than a year after acquiring U.K. lighting manufacturer Orluna.

The Details for Integrators

The all-new Intelligent Lighting portfolio by Lutron will feature the company’s two leading lighting families—Ketra and Orluna—with new products being unveiled in each lineup while the company is at ISE 2026.

The new releases to each product family include downlights, lamps, and linear lighting fixtures from Ketra, and downlights, tape, cylinders, uplights, and floorwash fixtures from Orluna.

As Lutron describes it, the Intelligent Lighting portfolio is designed represent a “fully addressable lighting ecosystem with wireless flexibility” as the intelligence rests in the fixture itself and not the control wire.

Within the sphere of custom integration, lighting has been on a consistent upward trajectory for close to 10 years at this point, however, the interest and growth in intelligent lighting solutions have not been entirely confined to the industry.

Elsewhere within the building sector, designers and architects have become increasingly aware of the impact lighting and its associated control systems can have on delivering bespoke, enjoyable experiences within a given space, with industry leaders identifying lighting as one of the single most important parts of designing an interior space.

To that end, events like Lightapalooza, once a small, invite-only event for a small collective of integrators, quickly grew into one of the largest lighting education events in the lighting industry, now servicing architects and designers as well as the original audience of custom integrators.

Meanwhile, manufacturers like Lutron, through acquisitions and expansions into subsequent markets, highlight the same growth of interest as intelligent lighting continues to capture the attention of building leaders the world over.

“Light shapes how we feel, how we live, and how we experience our homes,” said Ben Bard, Vice President Luxury Residential at Lutron.

“With Intelligent Lighting, we’re giving integrators and designers an entirely new product category to craft that experience with unprecedented precision and beauty and grow their business.”

What Comes Next with Lutron’s Intelligent Lighting

Lutron’s intelligent lighting portfolio will begin a phased rollout throughout the EMEA region beginning in February 2026 with additional launches also planned for the Middle East, though no dates have been specified.

While Ketra is currently available to integrators in the U.S., Orluna remains an EMEA-exclusive fixture since the company’s acquisition by Lutron in June, 2025.

At the time of its acquisition, Bard, speaking with CE Pro, stated that plans to expand Orluna into the U.S. “would be evaluated in the future,” however, as of today, no mention of any plans to bring Orluna to the U.S. has been made.

Attendees to the 2026 ISE show looking to get a look at both Orluna and Ketra fixtures can stop by at stand 2G700.
