Light Can Help You has launched LDX (The Lighting Design Experience), a year-long education and support program aimed at helping custom integrators strengthen their lighting design capabilities and grow lighting-driven revenue.

Designed as an alternative to traditional lighting education, LDX combines in-person instruction, digital resources, and ongoing professional support to address a persistent skills gap in the custom integration market. The program was structured to serve both lighting designers and project managers, with the goal of improving coordination between design intent and field execution.

The launch of LDX included a one-week, in-person residency held in Golden, Colo., at the ProSource 1010 Experience Center. During the residency, participants took part in hands-on design layouts, fixture labs, and real-world lighting demonstrations focused on residential applications. That experience was supported by a digital toolkit featuring room-by-room design guides, implementation checklists, and standardized documentation tools used by Light Can Help You internally.

Following the residency, participants entered a 12-month collaborative environment that provided continued access to working lighting professionals, peer review sessions, manufacturer events, and shared project support. According to the company, this structure was intended to mirror how lighting designers develop skills on real projects rather than through isolated coursework.

As part of the program’s rollout, Light Can Help You also hosted an informational webinar outlining the structure, objectives, and business rationale behind LDX. The session is now available to view on demand for integrators evaluating participation.

LDX launched with support from multiple manufacturers, buying groups, and industry organizations, reflecting growing interest in lighting design as a strategic growth category for custom integration firms.
