LG Electronics USA has introduced its 2026 LG MAGNIT Micro LED display, positioning the latest iteration of its large-format LED platform for both high-end residential installations and premium commercial environments.

The new MAGNIT (LMPB series) is available now in the U.S. and is designed to deliver improvements in image performance, installation efficiency and long-term reliability, according to the company.

The ultra-high-definition display incorporates enhanced contrast, deeper black levels and improved grayscale performance to support more consistent and realistic imagery. LG also adds support for a 120Hz refresh rate, targeting smoother motion reproduction for video content and broadcast applications.

A key update for the 2026 model is LG’s new Line-to-Dot technology, which the company says is designed to minimize visible pixel inconsistencies across large-format displays. The company says the feature helps maintain uniform image quality, particularly in applications where screen size and viewing distances can expose pixel-level imperfections.

LG positions installation and infrastructure enhancements as a central focus of the new MAGNIT platform. The company says it implemented a patented front-access alignment system that allows installers to adjust depth and uniformity from the front of the display, reducing installation complexity and service time.

According to LG, the display also incorporates optical fiber connectivity, enabling signal transmission over distances of up to 6.2 miles between LED cabinets and controllers. This approach supports centralized system design in large-scale or mission-critical environments, such as control rooms and broadcast facilities.

Additional updates include a standardized cabinet design intended to streamline large installations, along with a full black coating between microLEDs to improve perceived contrast and deliver black levels rated up to 40,000:1.

LG says the MAGNIT platform is designed for a range of applications, including corporate environments, retail spaces, studios and luxury residential installations, where demand for large-scale, high-performance displays continues to grow, albeit slowly.

Are video walls having a moment in CI?

LG’s new MAGNIT display comes as the video wall market in the custom integration space is poised for growth. Anecdotally, integrator say projection systems still dominate in home theaters, but video walls are becoming more affordable and are increasingly being requested by clients. Other players in the market include Samsung, Just Video Walls, Sony, Planar, Barco, Quantum Media Systems, and others. In fact, this is the topic of a panel session at the CEDIA Expo/CIX 2026 Smart Stage.

From an integrator perspective, the emphasis on simplified alignment, fiber-based infrastructure and scalable configurations aligns with ongoing demand for large-format video walls in both commercial and resimercial environments. The addition of front-serviceability and standardized cabinets may also help reduce labor costs and installation time on complex projects.

The 2026 MAGNIT joins LG’s broader push into Micro LED as the company continues to target premium display applications where performance, scalability and long-term reliability are key differentiators.
