KBIS 2022 Show Announces Design+Industry Awards

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) announced its Design+Industry Award winners at KBIS 2022.

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), owners of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) opened the 2022 live event with โ€œAn Evening of Elegance,” National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA)Design + Industry Awards on February 7, 2022, at the Rosen Centre Hotel, Orlando, Florida. 

The awards ceremony, held annually, recognizes the design professionals and projects that are setting the bar for the way we live, work and entertain in our homes.  Each reflects the purpose of the Association โ€“ envisioning a world where everyone enjoys safe, beautiful and functional kitchen and bath spaces. The program was generously sponsored by Beko appliances (platinum partner), 2020 Design Software and Home Depot.

NKBAโ€™s CEO Bill Darcy and EVP & CSO Suzie Williford hosted the ceremonies, presenting 28 awards during the evening, including the NKBA Student Design Competition winners as well as the NKBA Innovative Showroom Awards Competition winners.

Student Design Competition Winners

Also recognized at the awards ceremony were the winners of the 2022 Student Design Competition. Approximately 200 kitchen submissions and 200 bath submissions were completed into the contest which was sponsored by Fisher & Paykel. Students were able to enter one or both categories.

Innovative Showroom Awards

Awards were also presented to the winners of the NKBA Innovative Showroom Awards, recognizing the  

most creative, innovative and experiential kitchen and bath showrooms in North America. In this age of digital/online shopping itโ€™s especially important to recognize showroom spaces that engage customers in unique and memorable ways. These awards acknowledge the creative design professionalsโ€”architects, technology integrators, designers, furniture makers and display expertsโ€”who are masters of design, marketing and sales.

Chairmanโ€™s Award

Also honored during the ceremony was this yearโ€™s recipient of the NKBA Chairmanโ€™s Award. Regarded as one the associationโ€™s highest honors, the NKBA Chairmanโ€™s Award was created to recognize industry leaders for their unparalleled positive impact on the NKBA and the industry. The winner of the 2022 NKBA Chairmanโ€™s Award was presented by Bill Darcy and Suzie Williford to Kohler accepted by Kohler Kitchen and Bath North America President Shawn Oldenhoff.
