IvedaCare is an AI-Driven Smart Solution for Senior Care

New wireless, cloud-based sensor technology aims to provide enhanced peace of mind for caregivers.
Published: November 22, 2022

Looking forward in the realm of senior care, Iveda (NASDAQ:IVDA) has developed the first scientifically validated at-home AI Caregiver service. Named IvedaCare by the company, the patented AI-driven, smart solution uses predictive software to learn user lifestyle preferences before then making informed decisions surrounding health and security, reducing false alarms while also ensuring caregivers have greater peace of mind surrounding the health and safety of their charges.

Using a network cloud-based wireless sensors, the smart system collects real-time data tailored to homes, medical facilities and even entire neighborhoods if the needs arise. Users can then access and manage this information through IvedaCare’s AI-driven, decision-making software, with notifications being sent out should an adverse situation occur.

While originally intended to safely monitor and care for loved ones looking to age in place, IvedaCare can also connect with a variety of other sensors to become a more robust home monitoring system.

“While it’s not possible for anyone to be everywhere at all times, that’s exactly what being a caregiver often requires––and a reality that IvedaCare’s technology gets us one step closer to,” said David Ly, Iveda Founder and CEO.

“As an organization continuously innovating on AI and Smart City technology, Iveda is pleased to share these capabilities with a broader audience, and in a way that truly adds value to users’ immediate daily lives. IvedaCare combines the power of IoT sensors and AI to provide comfort and peace of mind to a major demographic in need.”

How Does IvedaCare Work?

Currently, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, more than 56 million adults ages 65 and older live in the United States, accounting for about 16.9% of the nation’s population. However, as more individuals strive to successfully age in place––defined as living in one’s own home safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age––Iveda and many other senior care experts see an immense burden being placed on caregivers.

According the to the company, IvedaCare’s AI technology provides caretakers with bot-enabled ambient fall detection, medication adherence monitoring, Real-Time Location monitoring capabilities, and more––all accessible through a mobile app with real-time health condition updates and alerts.

Over time, IvedaCare will be able to understand and address specific scenarios more accurately, reducing the likelihood of false alarms.

In addition to being able to better take care of loved ones, Iveda also notes that the software and sensors allow for more versatile services, including:

  • A security system that learns: Perimeter and in-home security sensors with false alarm learning and elimination, lighting that learns, predictive maintenance for administrators, and 24/7 professional monitoring keep homes––and those inside them––safe.
  • Smart water + energy monitoring: Bot-driven negotiations save energy and maximize comfort by learning user comfort preferences; Bot-enabled gamification doles out points and rewards, encouraging users to reduce their environmental footprint and energy expenditures.

Relevant institutions (i.e. senior care homes, hospitals, etc.) also have the option of receiving customizable white labeling on the products. It’s also worth noting that users operating on IvedaCare’s platform are not locked into using a single product, manufacturer or point solution. Meanwhile, device manufacturers use Iveda’s HIPAA-compliant platform to cloud-enable products with an intelligence they can control, adding new features and capabilities to devices, as needed, for a future-proof strategy.

Already, the company highlights that IvedaCare’s platform has captured over 4.8 trillion time-series data points from devices to date. IvedaCare starter kits will cost approximately $250 with the option to upgrade to Pro Monitoring for around a dollar a day.
