Last month Josh.ai announced that integration with the Hopper 3 DVR platform was complete and available to dealers. The announcement was one of many in recent months from Josh.ai, who also added distributed AV routing with Crestron and Control4, VoiceCast with Sonos and native integration with Sony AV receivers, displays and projectors.
Josh customers can now control their TV experience from room-to-room – all with natural language cues. Users with Josh and DISH installed in their homes can ask Josh to navigate the DISH guide and menu, play, pause, fast-forward, rewind and select television content. Compound commands like, “Watch ESPN, turn down the volume on the TV, open shades to 30% and turn on the lights” will execute on all devices assigned in that room at the same time.
“There are a variety of use cases where voice is an ideal form of control,” said Frank DeFilippis, DISH General Manager, Custom Integration. “Josh.ai has created a powerful voice-enabled platform for dealers, and we thrilled to partner with them. Our goal is to empower our dealers with high performance integration and the ability to delight customers.”
Below are examples of natural language-oriented commands you can ask Josh with DISH:
“Watch The Weather Channel”
“Channel 200”
“Next channel”
“Guide” or “DVR”
