Dish Sales Feature: Equipment Margins

Published: October 15, 2019

The DISH Custom Integration program provides product margin to its CI buyers as indicated on the pricing list.  When the client purchases the equipment from you, you enjoy margins and interface with DISH on behalf of your client.  There are no background checks or credit checks performed on your clients, since DISH treats you as the customer.   The pricing list also indicates the margin available to dealers who wish to offer AirTV units and AirTV Player units to their clients.

By selling a multi-room solution (3 or more receivers and the AT200 package) you will also enjoy our $20 RMR program, for as long as your client’s account is active, up to five years.  Should your client terminate service early, there are no chargeback concerns, since they own the equipment.

While most CI client budgets enable choosing the wide spectrum of programming content that a satellite TV subscription supports, there are some customers who may wish to speak with you about streaming solutions – particularly if they have remote family members such as college students away from home.

For those clients, DISH offers SlingTV that can be served by an AirTV unit and an AirTV Player or AirTV mini.  A potential selling strategy for the dealer selling to a client with multiple homes is to offer placement of an AirTV unit along with an OTA antenna at their remote home, connected via Internet service.  Accessing this unit via Internet and an AirTV Player or AirTV Mini at their primary home enables the dealer to add access to the locals of the remote home’s location, and can be integrated into the control platform of the client’s primary home as an icon on their controller screen.

Remote viewing is not limited to SlingTV subscriptions.  Remember that all DISH subscriptions that include a Hopper also include free access to the DISH Anywhere app, available on your mobile device.  Stay tuned to our November issue for more information on how to create your DISH Anywhere account.
