At CES 2026, Amazon announced a series of product and platform updates across its entertainment, smart home, security, and AI portfolios. The announcements were led by the debut of the Amazon Ember Artline lifestyle television, followed by a redesigned Fire TV experience and a broad expansion of Ring security devices and services.
Amazon Ember Artline Marks Entry Into Lifestyle TV Category
Amazon is entering the art TV market with the new Amazon Ember Artline, its first lifestyle-focused television and the first product under the newly named Amazon Ember smart TV brand.
The Ember Artline is a 4K QLED TV featuring a matte display intended to reduce glare and improve the appearance of artwork and photos. The TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Wi-Fi 6, and has a slim 1.5-inch profile. It incorporates Amazon’s Ambient Experience, which displays art or photos when the room is occupied and turns off when the space is empty.
The Artline integrates Amazon Photos and includes access to more than 2,000 pieces of free artwork. It also includes far-field microphones for hands-free Alexa+ interaction and Omnisense presence-detection technology. An AI-based feature allows users to photograph their room to receive artwork recommendations tailored to the space. The TV can be customized with one of 10 magnetic frame options in a range of finishes.
Amazon plans to offer the Ember Artline in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes starting at $899. Availability is scheduled for later this spring in the U.S., Canada, Germany, and the UK.
Fire TV Interface and Mobile App Redesign
Amazon also announced a redesigned Fire TV user interface aimed at simplifying content discovery and improving performance. The new UI introduces dedicated home screens for content categories such as movies, TV shows, sports, news, and live programming, aggregating titles across supported streaming services.
According to Amazon, the Fire TV software was reengineered to improve responsiveness, resulting in speed increases of up to 20–30% in certain use cases. The update expands the number of apps that can be pinned to the home screen from six to 20 and adds a shortcut panel accessible via a long press of the Home button, providing access to system settings, connected Ring cameras, and smart home controls.
Generative AI features powered by Alexa+ are integrated throughout Fire TV, enabling conversational search, personalized recommendations, watchlist management, smart home control, and scene-based navigation for supported Prime Video titles.
Amazon also unveiled a redesigned Fire TV mobile app that allows users to browse content, manage watchlists, and initiate playback on their TV remotely, expanding its role beyond basic remote control functionality.
The new Fire TV UI and mobile app are expected to begin rolling out in February on select Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Omni Mini-LED models in the U.S., with additional devices and regions to follow later in the spring.
Ring Expands AI Features and Security Hardware
Amazon’s popular security brand Ring announced multiple updates to its security ecosystem, including new AI-powered features, sensor hardware, and solutions for mobile and jobsite security.
New features include AI Unusual Event Alerts, which are designed to identify activity that deviates from typical household patterns, and Active Warnings, which provide automated audio alerts intended to deter potential incidents. These features are scheduled to roll out later this month to customers with compatible Ring subscriptions.
Ring also introduced Ring Sensors, a new line of battery-powered security, safety, and control devices built on Amazon Sidewalk. The sensors are designed to operate without traditional Wi-Fi hubs and to continue functioning during internet or power outages. The lineup spans entry protection, environmental monitoring, and smart controls.
For commercial and temporary deployments, Ring announced new jobsite-focused offerings, including the Ring Mobile Security Trailer and expanded Ring Elite camera configurations. These products are designed for large or remote environments and support LTE connectivity, battery backup, and solar power options.
Additional announcements included the Ring Appstore for third-party integrations, Fire Watch wildfire alerts developed with Watch Duty, and new smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarms created in partnership with Kidde.
Broader Alexa+ and AI Updates
Beyond Fire TV and Ring, Amazon detailed continued expansion of Alexa+, including browser-based access through Alexa.com and additional integrations across automotive, appliance, health, and smart home platforms. Amazon positioned these updates as part of a broader effort to extend AI-driven assistance across more devices and usage scenarios.
Availability
Amazon indicated that its Fire TV software updates and Ring feature rollouts will take place throughout early 2026, with new hardware products becoming available between late winter and spring. The CES 2026 announcements collectively reflect Amazon’s continued focus on integrating entertainment, smart home control, security, and AI services within its device ecosystem.
