Exhibiting in booth #11127 at CES 2017, Metra Home Theater Group and its brands — Helios, Ethereal and Metra Home — introduced several new products to help installation professionals do their jobs.
Jessy Crabb, general manager, Metra Home Theater Grouop, says the company's latest products address a range of installation scenarios.
“We're featuring a large array of installation-based products at CES 2017 for any size installation,” notes Crabb. “The new USB Powered IR Extender Kit makes it easier than ever to route an IR signal with its simple plug-and-play installation. We invite those attending CES 2017 to visit our booth and learn more about the many solutions we have to offer for audio and video technology.”
Some of those new products Crabb is referring to include a new Analog to Digital Converter that seamlessly converts analog content to digital.
Metra says the Analog to Digital Converter incorporates optical and coax inputs, and the company says the converter performs conversion periodically and samples the input without requiring a continuous conversion.
Metra's USB Powered IR Extender Kit (AS-IRUSB4) is described as a solution that makes it more efficient to route IR signals.
The company says the USB Powered IR Extender Kit features four IR emitters, along with a three-foot extension cable, and it says that TVs with USB ports are capable of powering the product.
The company's new HDMI Splitter is available in 1×2, 1×4, 3×2 and 5×1 versions, and the products support 18Gbps throughput.
Metra points out the 18Gbps support is important because it enables dealers to set up systems in which a single source is distributed to multiple displays without compromising 4K with HDR content performance.
Other products from Metra include its new Termination Boots. This product is available in quantities of 40 in color choices that include black, blue, green, red, white and yellow. Metra says the Termination Boots are a solution that dealers can use to create a more finished look for cable termination.
