What would you say to dealers who are already familiar with your product line?
Cell phone signal boosters offer a tremendous, untapped opportunity for dealers and integrators interested in expanding their product and services portfolio and Wilson Electronics is the industry leader.
Solutions to enterprise cellular connectivity issues have traditionally cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and taken years to deploy. Wilson’s new products, its build-out of an installer network and the announcement of a partnership with Verizon are industry game-changers.
They have enabled WilsonPro to offer quick, cost-effective enterprise deployments that work exceptionally well, even for very large venues.
What would you say to dealers who are stumbling across your company for the first time?
Wilson Electronics is a leader in wireless communications infrastructure, dedicated to delivering connectivity to every corner of peoples’ lives. The company has designed and manufactured cell phone signal boosters, antennas and related components for more than 20 years. Each booster is designed to significantly improve cellular coverage in homes, workplaces or vehicles.
All Wilson Electronics products are designed, assembled and tested in the U.S.A. For more information, visit www.wilsonpro.com. In addition to our great product portfolio, we help dealers and installers provide an entire “solution” to those in need.
Wilson Electronics offers a wide array of training, tools, and technical support. Combined with products, we can give their customers great products and an even better “experience” in their daily lives.
If an integrator stops by your booth with only 5 minutes to spare, what’s the one product he should examine or one question he should ask?
The WilsonPro 4000R. This is the first rack mounted, cell booster to incorporate four separate signal amplifiers feeding multiple indoor antennas. The 4000R literally delivers the power of four boosters in a single rack mount unit, and provides cell coverage for up to 100,000 square feet of indoor space, or even more depending on the strength of the incoming signal from the tower.
What’s your most memorable CEDIA moment?
Actually, my most memorable moment was my very first CEDIA show, as most memories are. I came from the semi-conductor industry before joining Wilson Electronics and it just so happened that my very first week at Wilson back in fall of 2013, was the week of CEDIA in Denver.
My first day on the job was at the CEDIA show and it was also my first time attending CEDIA. I was amazed at the array of products as well as the size of this specific vertical for Wilson Electronics. Not to mention all of the really cool home theater products on display from other vendors. I was tempted but I knew my wife wouldn’t be too happy if I made a large purchase of home theater gear before getting my first paycheck, so I restrained myself.
It was a great experience meeting all of the Wilson team, partners and seeing hands-on how our partners and resellers view our products and the critical need for in-building coverage for their customers. We also used this event as an opportunity to provide product training for partners and it gave me an opportunity to see that in action. It was a great experience and got me even more excited in not only this product, but Wilson Electronics as well.
Course Offerings at CEDIA
This week at CEDIA, Wilson Electronics will be hosting two Certified Installer Training sessions on September 15 in room C148 from 1:00-2:30 p.m., and September 16 in room C144 from 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Installers will leave the course with the advantage of knowing how to give their customers the highest quality solution for any cellular signal issue that comes their way.
Do you have any giveaways, contests or quirky features planned for CEDIA?
Yes, we will be doing a drawing for a $50 gift card for all those that stop by our booth to see our new products, and “like” our WilsonPro Facebook page.
Think of your closest competitor. What is one thing you do offer that they don’t?
XDR Technology: Extra Dynamic Range technology (XDR), prevents the WilsonPro 4000R from shutting off in the event of signal overload.
If the incoming signal becomes too strong, the booster adjusts signal gain to compensate for the overload condition while still providing even signal coverage throughout the building. Other cell signal boosters will shut down if they reach a specific incoming signal strength threshold, causing the indoor cell signal to drop completely.
The only solution to fix this “shutdown” is a physical truck roll or on-site maintenance call to re-boot the system.
