CEDIA Expo 2023 is taking place at the Colorado Convention Center next week, September 7-9 (conference September 6-9), and just as it does every year, the Smart Stage will feature a comprehensive and compelling agenda of panel discussions on a very wide range of topics this year.
The show floor opens Thursday, September 7 and beyond all the cool new product innovations, the Smart Stage will be the place to be for incredible insights into the hottest topics in the custom integration industry, all from panels of subject matter experts.
Following are just some of the highlights going on at the Smart Stage, which again this year is being sponsored overall by Nice. In addition, other sponsors making the programming possible are: Delos, Dirac, Kaadas, Lutron, SAVe, SnapOne and SurgeX/Ametek.
CEDIA Expo has partnered with CE Pro, Digital Signage Federation (DSF), Ellipsys Commercial Technology Group, Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA), Living in Place Institute and 8K Association to provide relevant, engaging topics to illuminate new business and technology opportunities for attendees.
For starters, one of the most compelling sessions returns from last year – I’ll be hosting a state of the industry roundtable with leaders of the major buying groups plus CEDIA CEO Daryl Friedman. That panel kicks off Thursday’s slate, and along with Friedman we’ll have Jon Robbins, Executive Director, HTSA; Richard Glikes, President, Azione Unlimited; Hank Alexander, Director, Oasys; and Jim Pearse, President, ProSource.

Smart Stage Schedule Promises Something for Everyone in Residential, Resimercial
From there, the residential and resimercial integration market education continues with sessions like Nice’s about cultivating homebuilder business; an IMCCA panel on the hybrid workplace; aging in place technologies; driving improved customer service; smart lock sales; digital signage opportunities, and MDU market applications.
We’ll cap the opening day of the CEDIA Expo 2023 Smart Stage schedule and show floor with CE Pro’s BEST Awards and Home of the Year Awards, followed by the CE Pro All-Star Band concert, which will take place right next door to the Smart Stage so don’t miss that event.
Friday, the fun continues with panels on smart lighting and home network trends; 8K video; sustainability development goals; school safety; power and energy management; fostering relationships with specifiers; high-performance room correction software; and client satisfaction.
We’ll wrap up the Smart Stage on Saturday morning as I chat with some industry influencers about their takes on this year’s expo.
