PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA – Adding further strength to its award-winning architectural speakers line, SpeakerCraft, the premier audio brand from Core Brands, today announced eight new speakers to its product mix. The announcement was made at the Core Brands booth (#4128) at CEDIA Expo 2015 at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas.
The new models include six new Profile models: Two top-of-the-line in-wall theater speakers (AIM LCR FIVE), two “AccuFit UltraSlim” models for shallow depth installations, and two “Wide” models for installations requiring ultra-wide sound dispersion. In addition, SpeakerCraft is introducing two new 5-pack configurations of its original Classic AIM7 TWO and AIM8 ONE, designed for production homes and builder partners.
“This now gives our partners a truly complete line of in-ceiling and in-wall bezel-less, flangeless speakers, enabling dealers to fully timbre-match into virtually all residential audio applications,” said Matt Dever, Core Brands Product Manager, Audio. “And the multi-pack additions help make things easier for our production/builder accounts as well.”
The new SpeakerCraft AIM LCR FIVE Series is the new top-of-the-line in-wall, designed to complement every high end home theater, adding Kevlar woofers and an aluminum-magnesium tweeter to AIM’s patented pivoting baffle. Timbre-matched to other FIVE series speakers, the AIM LCR FIVE Series delivers SpeakerCraft’s top in-wall performance to-date. Available in 5 ¼” and 3” woofer configurations.
The two new AccuFit UltraSlim models, as the name implies, each feature shallow 2” steel enclosure to address space limitations, building code requirements, sound transfer to adjoining walls and living environment concerns. The Profile AccuFit UltraSlim THREE is timbre-matched to all THREE series speakers and features two 3″ custom polypropylene inverted dome woofers, two 3″ custom aluminum inverted dome midrange drivers, and a ¾” aluminum tweeter. The Profile AccuFit UltraSlim ONE features two 3″ custom aluminum inverted dome woofers, two 3″ custom aluminum inverted dome midrange drivers, and a ¾” resin coasted silk dome tweeter, of course timbre-matched to all ONE series speakers.
The Profile AIM WIDE Series features fully pivoting woofers and unique dual midrange-tweeter module. The midrange-tweeter module is mounted directly over the woofer with dual, 2” dome midrange drivers and dual 1” tweeters facing 70 degrees off-axis from each other. The result is ultra-wide sound dispersion with tremendous fidelity, ideal for home theater applications including side channels, rear channels, or height channels, as well as wherever ultra-wide dispersion is needed. These two 8” speakers are timbre-matched to their respective series in the SpeakerCraft line. The THREE series features an aluminum woofer, midrange drivers and tweeters, while the ONE series features a graphite woofer and midrange driver with silk-dome tweeters.
The new Multi-packs offer 7” and 8” options for builders and production installers, incorporating SpeakerCraft’s patented WavePlane™ and pivoting AIM™ technology.
