ADI Debuts Connected Home Branch Displays

New ADI 'store-within-a-store' display area includes 50 Z-Wave smart home products for integrators, ranging from video surveillance, lighting controls, thermostats, garage doors, water sensors and motorized shade controls.

Distributor ADI recently launched its first Connected Home display at its Bohemia, N.Y. location. ADI developed the connected home branch display to introduce dealers to Z-Wave enabled smart home technologies and give them the opportunity to see, touch, and test drive products before presenting them to customers.

The store-within-a-store model allows dealers to interact with the latest technologies, and participate in hands on training opportunities. The connected home branch display features more than 50 products and the solutions represented include security, video surveillance, lighting controls, locks, thermostats, garage doors, water sensors and valve controls, and window shade controls.

“With increased focus on automation, remote control and the connected home, Z-Wave based solutions are creating new growth opportunities across the market” writes Stu Tisdale of ADI. “The integration of systems has become increasingly popular, and the explosion of smartphones and tablets and the advancement in apps continue to drive demand. Z-Wave technology has opened a new space for dealers to capture additional revenue streams, and ADI offers a full line of Z-Wave based products from some of the best brands in the industry.”

He adds, “So far the connected home display has been well received with our dealers, and we keep receiving more positive feedback every day. More and more dealers are telling us how valuable it is to be able to demo the products in a working environment.”

ADI will use the connected home display to host training events to provide dealers with a hands-on learning experience.
