Published: August 25, 2025

Aqara is making its first appearance at CEDIA Expo/CIX with a clear mission: to move beyond its consumer smart home roots and establish a foothold in the professional integration market. Backed by one of North America’s most comprehensive consumer portfolios, the company sees the show as the ideal venue to debut new pro-grade solutions, connect with integrators, and demonstrate how its technologies can seamlessly bridge consumer and professional systems across residential, multifamily, and light commercial projects.

To learn more about Aqara’s plans for CEDIA Expo and how the company is positioning itself within the professional channel, we spoke with the team about their debut, the solutions they’re bringing to the show, and what integrators can expect moving forward.

CE Pro: What motivated Aqara to make its debut at CEDIA Expo this year?

Aqara is expanding beyond the consumer smart home market into the professional installation and integrator space. With one of North America’s most extensive consumer smart home portfolios, we see CEDIA Expo as the ideal place to engage directly with residential technology professionals and installers. It’s the perfect stage to introduce our new pro-grade solution and demonstrate how they bridge consumer and professional systems across residential, multifamily, and light commercial projects.

CEDIA Expo also offers a unique opportunity to connect with professionals who share our vision for smarter, safer, and more sustainable living environments. It’s a chace to showcase our latest innovations, exchange ideas with integrators and partners, and illustrate how Aqara solutions empower them to deliver exceptional, forward thinking experiences to their clients.

CE Pro: Which products or solutions are you showcasing at your booth?

At CEDIA Expo, we’ll also be unveiling new hardware and software solutions for integrators, and hinting at some exciting potential new partnerships too. We can’t reveal everything just yet, but visitors can look forward to experiencing our full suite of smart home solutions, all designed to make homes smarter, more sustainable, and adaptable to users’ evolving needs. Our portfolio includes smart home hubs, smart sensors, door locks, indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras, video doorbells, smart lighting and switches, plugs, HVAC control, and motorized window treatments –  almost all Matter-enabled for maximum interoperability.

CE Pro: What kind of feedback or engagement are you hoping to get from integrators, installers, and designers?

We want to hear directly from the professionals on the front lines about how Aqara can best support them in bridging consumer and pro-grade systems for their clients. That includes feedback on feature sets, integration workflows, and service support. Our goal is to leave CEDIA Expo with new channel partnerships, signed projects, and a clear roadmap to help integrators deliver more interoperable, flexible, and future-ready smart environments.

CE Pro: Are you collaborating with any channel or ecosystem partners specifically for this event?

While our primary focus at CEDIA is to debut some new products for integrators, we also have some plans to showcase the power of interoperability with a wide range of devices and partners. We hope this event will strengthen those relationships and forge new ones.

CE Pro: Will Aqara be leading any product training sessions, workshops, or presentations during the expo?

Yes. Our booth is designed to be hands on and solution driven, allowing attendees to see exactly how to deploy Aqara technology in their next project. Throughout the show, we’ll host live demos walking integrators through our newest hardware and software offerings for integrators.

We’ll also offer integrators early access to product information, demo units, and exclusive preview of our Aqara Studio platform. Visitors can sign up for future training sessions and events, ensuring they have ongoing resources to make the most of our solutions.

CE Pro: How do you see this debut supporting your long-term strategy in the North American integrator market?

CEDIA marks our first major step toward building a strong presence with North American integrators. Our global mission has always been to enhance the lifestyles of millions of households worldwide by making homes safer, more comfortable, sustainable, and adaptive to evolving needs. As part of that mission, Aqara already offers one of the most extensive smart home portfolios available.

Now, we’re evolving that strategy to become the go-to bridge between consumer smart home ecosystems and professional automation platforms. By delivering solutions that are flexible, locally controlled, and scalable, we position Aqara as the partner integrators can trust to meet diverse project demands while keeping customer satisfaction high.

From single-family homes to multi-dwelling units and beyond, we believe holistic and personalized smart home experiences should be accessible to all. Integrators can feel confident recommending and building on our solutions because they’re already trusted in millions of homes worldwide.

CE Pro: What’s next for Aqara after CEDIA Expo—any upcoming product launches or new ecosystem initiatives?

While we can’t reveal every detail just yet, visitors  will see live demos of our Aqara Studio platform and a range of our new products with seamless Matter compatibility. These solutions bring even greater interoperability, flexibility, and future-proofing to integrators and homeowners.  And, for the consumer market, we have several exciting product releases planned to close out the year.

CE Pro: What’s one key question integrators should ask about when they visit your booth?

Ask us: “How can we work together to integrate consumer and pro-grade systems in one platform?” We’re ready to show how Aqara Studio delivers pro-grade reliability, scalability, and local control while uniting devices from both the consumer and professional worlds into a seamless future ready solution.
