Powersoft Mezzo Amps Include Dante Options

Entering the residential market, the Powersoft Mezzo line of amplifiers includes advanced options such as Dante digital audio.

For years the Italian company Powersoft has served the commercial AV market through a versatile line of amplifiers that could be used for everything from sound reinforcement to distributed audio.

At this past year’s CEDIA Expo 2019 the company entered the residential/light-commercial market through the release of the Powersoft Mezzo line of products.

The company’s new range of amplifiers are engineered to drive loads as low as 2 ohms, and they provide a choice of options that include analog, Dante digital audio and AES67.

The newly announced Powersoft Mezzo line of amplifiers can be used for residential and commercial installations.

Explaining the launch of its latest amplifiers, Rick Woida, head of applications support for Powersoft, points out integrators have a choice of models that support specific installation parameters.

“We are here at CEDIA Expo 2019 presenting our new Mezzo line of amplifiers. These amplifiers are commercial-grade, half space amplifiers featuring eight different SKUs; two of which are two-channel 320 watt featuring analog or Dante,” says Woida.

“The second of which are four-channel 600 watt [that] also feature analog and Dante. Each amplifier features built-in DSP [digital signal processing] and routing. The amplifier also features auto setup, which allows you to do the ability of quick limiter settings, high-pass filters and gain levels.”
