Trinnov Audio and ASCENDO Immersive Audio are teaming up to present a landmark demonstration of immersive bass technology at Audio Advice Live 2025, taking place August 1–3 in Raleigh, N.C. The demo will mark the first-ever appearance of Trinnov’s WaveForming technology at the event and the debut of ASCENDO’s products at the show.
The companies plan to stage a full-scale demonstration in a dedicated 25’ x 25’ x 8’ demo room using Trinnov’s flagship Altitude32 audio processor, Amplitude16 amplifiers, and a total of 12 ASCENDO THE16 ACTIVE SEALED subwoofers—six aligned along the front wall and six along the back. The system is configured to support planar WaveForming, Trinnov’s active acoustics approach that eliminates problematic room modes rather than merely compensating for them.
“WaveForming is the product of over eight years of obsessive research at Trinnov, and it was worth every moment,” said Trinnov CEO Arnaud Laborie. “Audio Advice Live attendees will hear unmatched bass reproduction and precision throughout the entire demo space.”
WaveForming is a low-frequency optimization technology available via free software upgrade on all Altitude processors. It works across major immersive audio formats, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D, and requires a minimum of four subwoofers to implement.
ASCENDO is complementing the demo with an additional infrasonic subwoofer designed to deliver ultra-low-frequency content. The company’s sealed 16-inch subs are engineered for high output and linearity while keeping distortion low.
“Those joining us at Audio Advice Live will hear first-hand the combination of Trinnov’s and ASCENDO’s technologies in the WaveForming bass region, while feeling the pressurization in the room,” said Geoffrey Heinzel, co-managing partner of ASCENDO.
Audio Advice Live brings together more than 60 demo rooms and dozens of exhibitors from across the high-end A/V industry. The annual event includes hands-on product showcases, seminars, and access to brand experts and engineers.
