THX has partnered with the Home Acoustics Alliance (HAA) to offer premium home theater training courses and to further enhance the THX Certified Professional Training Program.
The comprehensive program is designed to help custom integrators achieve the best possible home theater experience in any environment. From multi-purpose family rooms, to dedicated home theaters, these courses include theory and hands-on workshops on the essentials of home theater equipment, technologies and high-performance acoustic design.

THX- certified products are some of the best home theater components in the world and it's important to THX, their CE partners and the consumer, that this equipment be installed and set-up properly,” says Gerry Lemay, director of the Home Acoustics Alliance. “That has always been the goal of HAA training courses and throughout the years we received a reputation for offering the industry's most comprehensive training programs. Now we're thrilled to partner with THX in educating the world's best custom integrators.”
The THX-HAA Home Theater Training program is comprised of three certification levels totaling six days of training:
- Home Theater Advisor (one-day course)
- Home Theater Integrator (two-day course)
- Home Theater Advanced Integrator (three-day course)
Qualifying students will receive certifications from THX and HAA and will be listed on the websites of both companies.
To support the Home Theater and Video Calibration training programs, THX is launching its Professional's Portal hosted on THX.com where students can access course materials, exams, and Certified Professional resources. The portal will be available only to those students who take THX home theater or video calibration training courses.
