Samsung has announced plans to significantly expand its Micro RGB TV lineup in 2026, introducing models in 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, 100-inches in addition to its previously launched 115-inch screen. According to the company, the broader range is designed to bring its Micro RGB display technology to a wider variety of residential environments while maintaining ultra-premium picture performance.
Samsung plans to publicly showcase the expanded Micro RGB lineup at CES 2026, taking place Jan. 6–9 in Las Vegas.
“With Samsung’s latest technology, our Micro RGB portfolio delivers vivid color and clarity that make movies, sports and TV shows feel more expressive and engaging,” says Hun Lee, executive vice president of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
“By expanding the lineup for 2026, we’re establishing a new premium category with sizes that span the full range of modern living spaces while maintaining our highest picture standards.”
Samsung positions the expanded Micro RGB lineup as a response to growing consumer demand for higher picture quality, which the company identifies as a key driver behind upgrades to premium televisions. The company says the range is intended to serve both large-format entertainment spaces and more space-conscious installations without compromising display performance.
The RGB race seems to be heating up among major TV makers, with Samsung, Sony and now LG all announcing releases or planned releases.
Micro RGB Technology Targets Color Accuracy and Precision
Building on the 115-inch Micro RGB TV introduced in 2025, the 2026 lineup incorporates refinements across color accuracy, motion performance and processing power. Samsung’s Micro RGB technology uses sub-100 micrometer red, green and blue LEDs that emit light independently, enabling more precise control over brightness and color compared to traditional backlit displays.
According to Samsung, the new models integrate advanced processing features such as 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro to refine detail, smooth motion and enhance clarity in real time. The company also notes that the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro includes a next-generation AI chipset designed to improve frame-by-frame realism, supported by Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro.
Samsung says its Micro RGB Precision Color 100 technology has been certified by VDE and achieves 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color gamut. The company states that the refined RGB light source and enhanced dimming precision are intended to deliver higher brightness levels and more accurate color expression.
Vision AI, Audio Enhancements and Glare Control
The 2026 Micro RGB lineup will also feature an upgraded version of Samsung’s Vision AI Companion platform. According to the company, the system combines large language model-based intelligence with Bixby voice interaction to enable conversational search, interactive Q&A, proactive recommendations and access to AI-powered features and apps, including Live Translate, Generative Wallpaper and Perplexity.
Samsung’s proprietary Glare Free technology is included to reduce reflections and preserve contrast across a range of lighting conditions. On the audio side, the company says the TVs will support Dolby Atmos, Adaptive Sound Pro and Q-Symphony for integrated playback with compatible Samsung audio products. Samsung also confirms that all 2026 Samsung TVs will include Eclipsa Audio, a spatial audio system designed to deliver immersive 3D sound.
