Audiophile brand NAD Electronics has launched the C 700 V2 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, featuring an improved ESS Sabre DAC, MM phono input, Dolby Digital decoding, Dirac Live readiness and IR remote control.
The Ontario, Canada company says the new C 700 V2 BlueOS Streaming Amplifier is a significant upgrade over its predecessor and is a more modern, versatile solution for high-resolution, multi-room music streaming.
The C700 V2 includes an advanced ESS Sabre ES9028 DAC for a refined listening experience with greater precision and depth, the company says. Combined with NAD’s HybridDigital UcD amplifier technology, the amplifier provides clear sound reproduction for audiophiles and music enthusiast.
The C700 V2 also features integration of stereo and surround sound capabilities, allowing users to switch to a 4.1 Dolby Digital Surround setup with BluOS-enabled rear channels and a wired subwoofer, making it useful for both music and home theater systems.
According to NAD, the streaming amplifier is ready for Dirac Live, giving users the ability to unlock advanced room correction capabilities with the purchase of a Dirac Live license, a calibrated microphone and the Dirac app. The C 700 V2 stores up to five Dirac Live profiles for different setups and room conditions.
All users need to do to play music is add speakers, and the addition of a MM phono input appeals to vinyl enthusiasts who can listen to records with RIAA equalization and low noise, according to NAD.
Other connectivity options include HDMI eARC, two-way aptX HD Bluetooth, and Apple AirPlay 2. It also includes USB Type A for music playback and connecting an optional calibration mic.
With BluOS streaming and multi-room functionality, the C 700 V2 offers access to over 20 music streaming services, thousands of internet radio stations and local digital music libraries. It is also compatible with home control systems and voice assistants like Alexa and Siri.
The amplifier can be controlled via the BluOS Controller app and an included remote, as well as other IR remotes.
