Intelligent Audio Products Corporation (IAP), an OEM speaker cabinet and audio-video furniture manufacturing company in Bridgeport, Conn., announces a new product called The Pedestal, which incorporates both amplifiers and speakers in an architectural pedestal meant for indoor use.
“The Pedestal is our new wireless indoor speaker that can either be powered by an onboard Sonos amplifier or a custom-designed Madison Fielding amp,” says IAP president Art Powers. “Configured with either an 8-inch or 10-inch woofer, and 100 or 200 watts RMS per channel power handling, The Pedestal brings amazing sound to living spaces without the need to run wires or hang or position speaker boxes.”
IAP is the sister company of Madison Fielding and parent of PlanterSpeakers. The Pedestal takes a page from IAP's line of PlanterSpeakers – the outdoor planters with high-end speaker arrays “hidden by design.”
PlanterSpeakers create an alternative to outdoor bracket-type speakers and those housed in artificial rocks. Its founders’ focus was to give equal billing to design and sound quality.
The Pedestal is a stereo speaker but can also be arrayed as a pair, and is available in either museum white or museum black lacquer. It blends into a variety of decorating motifs, and is the well suited support for sculpture, flowers and plants. The Pedestal features deep bass, crisp highs and lush mid-range sounds that float from an architectural structure that beautifully enhances home design, according to the company.
IAP is now creating a new array of models including premium turntables for VPI and acoustic panels and TV consoles, all made in America. IAP offers OEM facilities for other brands.
