In high-stress situations, every second counts. To this end, N.C.-based manufacturer ELK Products' new C1M1 Dual Path Communicator is designed to reduce the transmission time of emergency messages in the most dire of situations.
Citing the speed of the C1M1, the company says that seconds matter in emergency situations and its latest product does not dial capture or data bus decode to save those precious seconds during those high-tension moments.
ELK also notes the C1M1 doesn't use a cloud server to delay or compromise those communications, and once it sends a message over IP and cellular networks, it automatically finds the fastest method of communication.
Ensuring the speed of the product ELK says periodic tests are sent over both pathways, and it automatically reports a pathway outage over any pathway method.
Other features the C1M1 offers include remote access with no port forwarding or extra fees. ELK states electronics professionals can easily activate and manage the product's communications, and they can remotely program the M1 control over IP.
In addition, homeowners can control their M1 systems remotely via ELK's free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as the North Carolina company's eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro third-party apps. ELK also says some of the other features built into the C1M1 include email/text notifications for arm, disarm and alarm events, and it offers support for its IP-based software and interface partners.
