Amazon’s eero division has introduced two new solutions designed to strengthen connectivity for homes, businesses, and professional installers. The company announced eero Signal, a cellular backup device that helps networks remain online during internet outages, and eero PoE 7, a Wi-Fi 7 access point that uses wired infrastructure to support high-bandwidth applications.
eero Signal is designed to provide automatic connectivity through 4G LTE or 5G networks when a primary internet connection goes down. The device connects to any USB-C powered eero system that supports Wi-Fi 6 and above, ensuring continuity for both residential and commercial networks.
Subscribers to the annual eero Plus plan will receive up to 10 GB of backup data per year at no additional cost. For customers with more frequent outages, the new eero Plus 100 plan will offer up to 100 GB of backup data per month. eero Signal requires an existing internet connection and is intended solely as a backup solution for a single location.
The eero PoE 7 rounds out the company’s Wi-Fi 7 portfolio, delivering wireless speeds up to 3.9 Gbps and wired speeds up to 9.4 Gbps through its dual 10 GbE ports. Designed for both business and residential installations, the access point can be mounted to ceilings and walls, providing up to 2,000 square feet of coverage and supporting up to 200 devices.
In addition to high-speed connectivity, the device includes support for smart home standards such as Matter, Thread, and Zigbee, enabling integrators to consolidate control through a single hub. eero PoE 7 is compatible with the eero PoE Gateway and other PoE switches, allowing for versatile deployment across both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Later this year, professional installers will gain the ability to sell eero Plus and eero Business subscriptions directly to their customers, adding premium security features and backup data options as part of the installation process.
Availability for the new products is staggered:
-
eero Signal 4G LTE will launch in early 2026 for $99.99, while the 5G RedCap model will follow later in 2026 for $199.
-
eero PoE 7 will be available in the U.S. and Canada this November through select internet service providers and installers, and later via Amazon.com and eero.com, priced at $499.99 for a single unit.
With these additions, eero says it now offers a full suite of Wi-Fi 7 solutions tailored for residential and commercial environments, reinforcing its position in both consumer and professional networking markets.
