Connesso has officially announced the acquisition of McPherson Connected Systems (MCS). The transaction closed on Dec. 30, 2025 with terms not being disclosed at the time of sale.

Details Behind the Connesso/MCS Acquisition

Founded on the belief that technology should enhance safety, comfort and everyday living, McPherson Connected Systems has built its client base serving high-end residential customers.

“McPherson Connected Systems exemplifies the type of company we want to partner with as we build Connesso,” said Tim Schilling, President at Connesso.

“They have deep market credibility, strong operational fundamentals, and a clear commitment to delivering meaningful value to clients. This acquisition is an important first step in executing our long-term strategy.”

As part of the acquisition, the company will be fully integrated into Connesso’s operating platform, allowing for shared resources, expanded capabilities and operational scale, while preserving the local expertise that made MCS successful.

AJ McPherson will remain with the organization as General Manager for the Ohio market, continuing to lead local operations and client relationships.

“Joining Connesso allows us to take what we do best and do it at a higher level,” said McPherson. “We now have access to greater resources, operational support, and a clear growth roadmap, while staying focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.”

Signficance of the Acquisition

The acquisition represents Connesso’s first completed transaction as part of a broader platform growth strategy designed to build regional leadership in custom integration.

By bringing together proven operators, strong local brands and disciplined execution, the integration firm says it aims to scale thoughtfully while maintaining the service quality and technical rigor demanded by the luxury market.

“As an industry, custom integration is at an inflection point,” said Ryan Prestel, Partner and North Carolina Market Leader at Connesso.

“Similar to what we’ve seen in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, this market is ready for a platform approach that brings structure, investment, and long-term thinking. This acquisition is about building a stronger foundation, not just adding size.”

Connesso states that it plans to pursue additional acquisitions as it continues to expand its regional footprint and enhance its service offerings across residential and commercial markets.
