CE Pro’s 40 Women to Watch (W2W) Class of 2025

Nominated by co-workers and fellow industry members, the Women to Watch in 2025 recognizes the women that drive the smart home industry.
Published: August 25, 2025

In the September 2024 issue of CE Pro, we introduced the inaugural “40 Women to Watch” that recognizes some of the many women professionals that for decades have not received their rightful due in the consumer electronics industry.

For the 2025 40 Women to Watch (W2W) list the CE Pro editorial team decided to make the list more community focused. This year, rather than the male editorial team making selections from afar, a selection committee that includes several female industry professionals would help provide the necessary insight to select the 2025 list of deserving women.

CE Pro’s W2W selection committee includes staff member Bob Archer, as well as Maryellen Oswald from Somfy, Sarah Dresher of Luxury Integrated Technologies (LIT), and Katye Bennett from KMB Communications.

In choosing the 40 Women to Watch list for 2025 the W2W committee examined several factors, including the impact of these professionals within the industry both to their employers and their peers, as well as their respective total career work. In the case of the younger professionals on the list, their potential long-term career arc was a contributing factor.

In addition to the W2W selection committee, Emerald (owner of CE Pro and the CEDIA Expo) and CE Pro is set to present its new Women to Watch panel at CEDIA Expo 2025. The panel takes place on the show’s Smart Stage on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 4:00 p.m. The panel will discuss the list, as well as topics that affect career opportunities for women in the electronics industry.
