Bang & Olufsen (B&O) is collaborating with Italian natural stone brand Antolini to create speakers and other products crafted with natural materials alongside the audio company’s design service Atelier.
BeoSound Balance Natura Uses Natural Quartz and Petrified Wood as Materials
The result of the collaboration is the Beosound Balance Natura, a speaker that introduces a new pedestal design combining Antolini’s natural stone craftsmanship with B&O’s precision-engineered aluminum detailing. The sculptural base is designed to position the speaker at an optimal listening height while also contributing to the overall aesthetic of the product.
The Antolini materials include natural quartz and petrified wood, materials the company says “offer unique translucency and depth, enhancing the interplay of light, texture, and sound.”
Between the pedestal and speaker is an anodized aluminum ring designed to create a seamless transition while balancing natural and engineered elements.
The partnership will result in 16 bespoke speakers, each featuring a combination of Antolini materials and custom finishes from the speaker company’s Atelier catalogue.
Also included in the series will be a 55-inch Beovision Theatre TV and pair of Beolab 28 speakers, customized in Antolini’s Amazonite quartzite.
More Speakers, TVs to Emerge from B&O, Antolini Partnership
Partnering with Atonlini further enhances B&O’s Atelier offering, which was first unveiled at ISE 2025, offering customers the ability to customize the aesthetics of their speakers, says B&O CEO Kristian Teär.
“Beosound Balance Natura is the embodiment of this collaboration-a seamless fusion of nature and innovation, where raw beauty meets refined sound,” Teär says. “Together, we have transformed materials into emotion, shaping stone and sculpting sound into a singular work of art that speaks to both the senses and the soul.”
Antolini Owner Carlo Alberto Antolini called the collaboration “a dialogue between aesthetics and performance, between nature and technology, between history and avant-garde.”
“Together with Bang & Olufsen, we turned precious materials into unique sensory experiences,” Antolini said. “On the one hand natural stone, shaped to tell the story of Mother Nature’s beauty. On the other hand, sound, sculpted to deliver pure emotions through design that becomes art.”
