Modeled after the Palace of Versailles in Paris, Le Palais Royal is one of the most expensive and luxurious homes for sale in the country.
The chateau-style home is located at 935 Hillsboro Mile in Hillsboro Beach, Fl., and goes on sale in November for $159 million.
It's not exactly small, coming in at 60,500 square feet. The home has 11 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms and looks out onto 500 feet of oceanfront. A gate surrounds the residence, decorated with 11-karat gold leaf. There are three master suits and a presidential suite, each with its own jacuzzi.
Outside, a 4,500-square-foot infinity pool with salt, chlorine and UV filtering is complete with an LED-lit, double-loop waterslide. Suspended above the pool is a glass-bottomed Jacuzzi.
“It's supposed to feel like you're floating over the pool,” says Denio Madera, the architect and interior designer of Le Palais Royal.

The homeowner will park in a subterranean garage that can accommodate 30 cars and walk up a $2 million marble staircase to an 18-seat IMAX home theater with a 50-foot-wide screen.
There is also an entertainment complex, featuring an ice skating rink, casino, nightclub, bowling alley, and the latest addition to the home, a Star Wars themed go-kart track.
“Le Palais Royal represents nearly a decade of hard work,” says Joseph Leone, designer and developer on the project. “I have toured many of the world’s top estates, and there is truly nothing quite like it anywhere in the world. Many of the world’s great estates or chateaus are remote – far from major cities. They may have Old World charm, but they don’t offer modern conveniences. Le Palais Royal has the best of both worlds. Nothing in the world compares.”
Oh, and the entire home is soundproof.
