Screen Innovations (SI) has just announced that its award-winning Black Diamond Fusion ALR projection screen will be making its commercial debut, less than a year after it initially debuted at CEDIA Expo 2024. The timing comes just as InfoComm 2025 is about to kick off, with SI planning to showcase the screen while at the show.

Spanning 130-inchesand sporting a 16:9 aspect ratio, SI claims that the screen can reject 95% of all ambient light present in a room, which it says makes the screen a good pick for display usage in commercial environments such as hospitality venues, boardrooms and airports.

SI is also pitching the screen serves as a cost-effective alternative to traditional LED walls and other forms of digital signage in these same locations.

The screen itself boasts a gain of 1.0 and works with any projector featuring a 1.5 throw or greater giving viewers a 160-degree effective viewing cone with zero textures or hot-spots.

It also comes with two separate options for framing in either a Zero-Edge or Sub-Zero trim.

While ALR continues to be the go-to projection screen technology for many today, each take on the tech can have its own quirks and limitations, whether it’s a narrow viewing angle, odd texture or issues with hotspots, which SI says are absent from the Black Diamond Fusion.

The debut at InfoComm 2025 will give any CE pros in attendance an opportunity to test those assertions themselves. Anyone interested can stop by SI’s booth at Level 2 of the Exhibit hall, booth 2321.
