Schlage, a provider of home security and access solutions for over a century, has announced the Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt is now available in a Greenwich trim. Greenwich blends Schlage’s flagship Camelot Trim, which incorporates colonial inspiration with Victorian-era edges and the Century Trim’s mid-century modern design. By melding the soft edges of Camelot with the mid-century modern flair of Century, Greenwich is both modern and stylish and lends a chic touch of simplicity to any space.
“Greenwich is one of Schlage’s most popular trim styles, and we’re so excited to expand it into one of the best-selling electronic products we make, Encode,” says Ted Roberts, style & design chief at Allegion, owner of Schlage.
“Mid-century modern has been wholeheartedly adopted by many savvy decorators around the country, and this latest trim meets them where they’re at for door hardware. With more design options to choose from, we hope people can not only improve the way their home looks, but also dramatically improve their safety.”
According to the company, Schlage Encode is easy to install, with a quick connection to in-home WiFi to make it even more convenient for homeowners to have secure, remote access control. Schlage boasts the locks’ built-in technology eliminates the need for an additional hub; all integrators need is WiFi and the Schlage Home app to install the locks. Additionally, Encode enables users to set temporary or permanent guest access codes without needing to share a physical key. Users can also create virtual keys, which gives guests access through the Schlage Home app.
For now, only the Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt will be available in the Schlage Greenwich trim. The entire Schlage Encode family consists of the Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Deadbolt, Schlage Encode Plus Smart WiFi Deadbolt and the Schlage Encode Smart WiFi Lever.
