Roku will begin rolling out a suite of new Roku OS updates over the coming weeks that it says are designed to make content streaming easier for homeowners. The popular home entertainment company says these automatic updates include new ways to discover trending content, as well as mechanisms to allow users to plan movie nights, and browse quick clips, along with enhancements to Live TV content and premium content access.Â
Roku outlines the new updates to its OS platform, which include:
- Top 10: Discover what’s trending across TV Shows and Movies.
- In Theaters Now: New & Popular movies are now front and center to watch trailers and add to Save List to stay on top of when it becomes available to stream at home.
- Surf Mode: Interactive short clips to spotlight the full-length shows and movies that are available to stream.
- Live TV Channel Guide: The ‘Newly Added’ section makes it simple to spot the latest channels added to the Live TV Channel Guide.
The Roku OS is available through the company’s line of streaming products, as well as a number of smart televisions.
