Kaleidescape has begun rolling out its kOS 10.23.0 software update, delivering several user experience improvements across Strato players and Terra servers. The update installs automatically over the coming weeks while systems are inactive, and customers do not need to take any action.
According to the company, the release introduces a new default row-based collections view on all Strato models. The layout offers a modern browsing experience and new navigation behavior that uses chapter skip buttons to move forward or back within a row. Integrators can still switch to the classic view on Strato 2U, S, and C units, but the classic interface cannot be restored on Strato V, E, or M. Alto players continue to support only the classic layout.
Kaleidescape has also added HDMI CEC support to Strato V, E, and M players. When enabled through the Browser Interface, the Kaleidescape remote can control power and volume on connected displays or AVRs. The release includes improvements to collection management, refined navigation animations, and updates to the placement of the Watch Soon collection.
The company notes that the update also includes general performance enhancements, usability improvements, and bug fixes for Strato and Terra systems.
