Fire TV Interface Updates

Published: June 14, 2022
  • Amazon has announced that it has upgraded the user interface for its Fire TV smart TV platform.
  • Outlining some of the updates to its popular smart TV platform, Amazon has outlined some of the improvements:
  • Search is easier to find:  Fire TV now features an integrated Search and Find to create a single destination where users can search and discover new content from Fire TV’s extensive catalog. By clicking on the magnifying glass on the main navigation panel, users will be taken to a page where they can search for shows, movies, and more, as well as browse popular and recommended categories.
    • My Stuff (previously called Library): This updates houses watch lists and video libraries, shows recently launched apps, and collects rented or purchased content in one place.
    • Simple navigation: With this update, users will now see an icon-based navigation bar, offering quick access to popular destinations including Home, Find, Live, and My Stuff, as well as an easy way to get to their favorite apps and profile.

Last year, we completed a major overhaul of the Fire TV experience and since then we have continued to make refinements to make Fire TV the most engaging and personalized streaming experience,” notes Joshua Danovitz, director, Fire TV Experience.

“The recent updates bring Search and My Stuff to the top of our Home page so customers can quickly find content and access their watchlists, rentals, and purchases.”
