Demonstrating the power of the Network Effect, residential and commercial-grade AV, IT and security systems increasingly feature and utilize faster, stronger, and more secure network technologies. At CEDIA Expo/Commercial Integrator Expo (CIX) taking place in Denver next month, network technologies — and also their attendant complexities — will feature prominently on the exhibit floor and on the curriculum of panels and workshops.

“The power of today’s audiovisual systems integration is bringing together a variety of components, sources and content that are controlled via an IP addressable network,” explains Jason McGraw, group vice president and show director of CEDIA Expo/CIX. “That’s the magic of systems integration and it’s how our community of integrators commands success by delivering a seamless, integrated experience for their customers. To serve this function, integrators need to deploy high-performing network technologies and highly evolved network best practices. CEDIA Expo/CIX is ground zero for both.”

Security, networking, and connectivity learning opportunities at CEDIA Expo/CIX include the following courses:

“A lot of work has been invested into hardening home/commercial networks,” adds McGraw.  “Those innovations aren’t always apparent and the threats they protect against are rarely a problem until they’re a disaster.  CEDIA Expo/CIX is an opportunity for integrators to learn about emerging technologies, emerging threats and new best practices.  It’s also where they can ask questions, gain practical advice and acquire first-hand experience with network devices — business-critical information that cannot be sourced on a website or gleaned from a brochure.”
