To make keeping track of industry events easier, CEDIA has introduced an exclusive industry calendar for custom integration (CI) that’s being made available to CEDIA members (as well as non-members) through the association’s Membership app.
What Does the CEDIA Events Calendar Provide?
According to CEDIA, the calendar consolidates important dates from across the CI industry into a single, easy-to-reference view. Members can use the calendar to stay informed about upcoming events, education opportunities and key moments throughout the year in one centralized place.
Events are included on the calendar based on “their relevance to CEDIA members and the professional smart home industry.”
CEDIA also states that additions to the calendar are open to suggestions from members and industry partners via an online form to ensure the calendar reflects a broad view of opportunities across the channel.

Why Integrators Should Take Note
As CI has grown as an industry, the number of events from manufacturing training to tradeshows has increased, each one vying for the attention of integrators and any employees that might benefit.
At the same time, travel costs have ballooned while travel budgets have conversely shrunk, necessitating greater awareness and planning for specific events throughout the year if integrators wish to keep their employees trained and businesses competitive.
