Adding to its 6-Series of products, the large electronics manufacturer TCL, has introduced a new 85-inch Mini-LED television.
The newly announced TV from TCL utilizes the latest display technologies, including QLED quantum dot nanocrystals, and HDR Pro Pack with Dolby Vision IQ. The company explains the new 6-Series 85-inch Mini-LED television also includes its Contrast Control Zone technology, along with greater higher HDR and display resolution capabilities.
Through the use of quantum dot Mini-LED technology TCL states the new 85-inch 6-Series television is capable of producing wide color volumes with a focus on the commercial cinema DCI-P3 color space standard.
Elaborating on its Contrast Control Zones that are driven by its Mini-LED technologies, the 85-inch TV (85R655) uses 448 backlit zones of lighting to help the TV produce wide contrast levels and vivid colors. The 6-Series TV’s HDR Pro Pack with Dolby Vision is said to expand the color palette and the contrast range of the large-screen product using dynamic metadata to automatically optimize images.
TCL also explains the HDR Pro Pack technology with Dolby Vision IQ uses the TV’s auto brightness ambient light sensor to fine tune picture brightness, while enhancing viewing based on various environmental ambient lighting conditions.
Other features built into the new 85-inch 6-Series television include Dolby Atmos, and compatibility with today’s various HDR formats such as HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG.
Moreover, to support gamers, the TV incorporates TCL’s Game Studio Pro which is said to build upon Auto Game Mode for automatic and responsive gaming, as well as Variable Refresh Rate up to 120Hz to keep up with game play through its HDMI 2.1 ports, and AMD FreeSync Premium for optimized gaming experiences.
