The large commercial AV manufacturer Extron has announced a pair of NAV series AV over IP Wallplate Encoders.
Extron states that its latest wallplate products feature decorator-style industrial designs to support their installation in a range of room environments. The Wallplate Encoders also support low-latency, lossless 4K video with 1Gbps throughput capabilities.
The Anaheim, Calif.-based company explains the AV over IP Wallplate Encoders provide optional Ethernet expansion ports and they employ its PURE3 codec to transmit 4K at 60Hz video with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.
Extron adds The NAV series of products delivers interoperability between 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps devices to enable integrators to scale system designs for a range of system sizes. The line of products also supports AES67 audio over IP, and Extron comments the products can be deployed as easily as its matrix switch products.
